Burleson man dies after being struck by train

A 46-year-old Burleson man died Monday morning when he was struck by a train.

The incident occurred at 1:58 a.m. at the North Rudd Street at North Commerce Street under the Texas 174 viaduct.

According to the report, the man was lying on the tracks under the viaduct. The empty Union Pacific Railroad freight train was not able to stop in time. The incident is still under investigation.

The Johnson County Medical Examiner’s Office responded. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the manner and cause of death.
